Ellie is looking for a forever home to spend out the rest of her days. Ellie lost her home after her owners had to move into an assisted living situation. She is an 11 yr old s/h spayed female. Her preferred home would be as the only dog for a woman (her preference; although she is fine with men) in a home without children or other dogs. She has gotten along with other dogs, but she likes to be the dominant female dog in the household. She would probably do well with a laid back male for company but it takes her awhile to get used to new dogs. She is a small Saint and weighs around 75lbs. She has typical problems that you would expect a senior to have such as arthritis and cloudy eyes. Ellie has lived with cats without any problems. She is a sweet dog who wants to be part of everything in your life. She loves car rides and walks. She does pull on the lead, so whoever brings in this sweetie will need to be confident in their abilities to redirect her when needed. She comes from a country home, so she didn’t spend a great deal of time on lead. Will you be the one to spoil Ellie in her remaining days and give her the love and affection that she deserves? Ellie is currently fostered in the Salem area. Please fill out an application at application. 4/22/2019

Lucky: Introducing Lucky! Talk about an irresistible face! Lucky is a 2 year old neutered Saint looking for a new home through no fault of his own. Lucky loves people of all sizes, has done well around kids. Lucky still needs some guidance when meeting other dogs but does well with others for the most part. He would do best in a home with another outgoing Saint or breed that is close to his size. Lucky has never met a cat. He is housebroken, rides well in the car, has had professional obedience training, loves walks and toys. Microchipped, utd on vaccines and has been well cared for and very loved. Currently Lucky is being fostered in Bothell, WA. Fully fenced yard with plenty of room to stretch out and play is required. If you are interested in adopting Lucky, please fill out an application. 4/13/2019

Freckles: Meet Freckles. Freckles is a great boy who has had a pretty rough year. His owner passed away and he found himself in a shelter. Freckles is sensitive and did not do well at the shelter, refused food and was stressed, so they asked us to take him into our program. Freckles is a 6 year old neutered male Saint/Great Pyrenees mix. We think that he would like to be the only dog in the home, but a large breed laid back female about his own age would probably work fine with him. We think the most important thing to know about Freckles is that he needs slow introductions with people and pets and not to be pushed into things he isn’t ready for. He has been through a lot and likes to take things at his own pace. His foster dad thinks he is just awesome! Although he has done well with the kids he has met, we are looking for an adult only home for Freckles. Like most Pyrs, he is a bit territorial about his home and will let you know if there is anything breaching the compound. He barks a bit, but settles down once he knows you have acknowledged his warning of approaching squirrels. He has learned to use the doggy door at his foster home and is housebroken. He likes his toys, and sneaks them outside to play with when no one is looking. He likes walks and walks well on the leash. He definitely needs a fenced yard because he loves his outdoor time. Freckles is microchipped, utd on shots and neutered. He is currently fostered in Bend, OR. If you are interested in adopting Freckles please apply at application. 4/13/2019
